Job Summary
Data Scientist in Chantilly, VA responsible for using analytical skills to extract insights from large datasets, develop predictive models, and design dashboards (Power BI/SSRS) to support Acquisition and Financial Information. Responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define business needs, conduct exploratory data analysis, communicate findings through dashboards and reports for Executives and end users, design and conduct experiments and A/B tests to validate model assumptions, document data maps and business processes, and ensure operational performance of the AEON BI platform through testing and knowledge capture. The role emphasizes leveraging SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools to produce actionable insights and support data-driven decision making.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph ONLY
- Proven experience in data science, machine learning, or predictive analytics
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
- Strong knowledge of data reporting tools including Microsoft PowerBI, SSRS, Tableau
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Agile and SCRUM processes
- Knowledge of SDLC practices in Agile environments
- Ability to produce reports and dashboards for Executives, Team Leads, and end users
- Experience with data visualization and dashboard design
- Experience with experimental design and A/B testing
- Ability to document business processes, data maps, and data modeling
- Experience with AEON Business Process Management Platform or similar BI platforms
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Lifecycle or government contracting
