Job Summary

Data Scientist II at Bank of America responsible for tackling a variety of challenging ML and analytics projects across GPS, including quantitative modeling for pricing, NLP-driven insights, and AI-powered search tools. Collaborates with data engineers and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, drive data-driven business solutions, and set strategic direction for data science products. Requires strong Python, data-structures/algorithms knowledge, experience with ML techniques (KMeans, boosting, bagging), ability to communicate findings clearly, and proficiency in data visualization and presenting results to stakeholders. Role includes contributing to development of products and applications that support research, development, and data science initiatives, with opportunities to influence long-term product strategy and implement experiments (A/B testing). Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, math, and physics
  • 3-5 years of data science experience in a highly technical environment
  • Strong Python experience
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms (KMeans, boosting, bagging)
  • Ability to frame data science problems and communicate results
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools (D3.js, GGplot, Matplotlib)
  • Experience with Agile practices, DevOps practices, and technical documentation
  • Experience with time series forecasting, stochastic optimization, and recommendation systems
  • Experience performing A/B testing
  • Ability to collaborate with data engineers and cross-functional teams
  • Experience analyzing business impact and driving data-driven solutions
