Job Summary
Data Scientist II responsible for partnering with internal stakeholders to solve business problems using data. You will pull data from SQL databases, analyze it with Python or R, identify trends and statistical significance, visualize results in Tableau, and present findings to stakeholders to inform decisions. The role is remote with mandatory in-person collaboration days in Costa Mesa, CA (2 days per month). Strong statistical foundation, ability to describe projects end-to-end, and effective communication to non-technical audiences are required. Familiarity with Agile practices and frequent deployment deadlines is expected, with emphasis on delivering actionable insights and contributing to business optimization for a large member base.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency with SQL for data pulling
- Proficiency in either Python or R for data processing and analysis
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau
- Strong foundation in statistics and data analysis
- Ability to pull, analyze, and interpret data to inform business decisions
- Experience presenting findings to stakeholders and turning insights into recommendations
- Experience working in Agile environments and participating in standups and sprints
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability
