Data Scientist

Data Scientist role focusing on DoD-related data science initiatives. You will lead statistical analyses on large, multi-source datasets; design production-quality visualizations and dashboards; manage data-science projects from scoping to delivery; translate strategic questions into analytical approaches; respond to ad-hoc analytics requests within an agile workflow; and mentor junior data scientists. The position requires experience with Python or R (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or Tidyverse), SQL across large data warehouses, and distributed computing (e.g., Spark or DASK). Familiarity with NLP, geospatial analysis, Databricks, ETL, and reproducible research practices is a plus. You will communicate complex statistical findings to technical and senior DoD leadership and contribute to solutions that address national defense and security priorities. A TS/SCI clearance and a bachelor’s degree are required; a Master’s degree is noted as a preferred qualification. This is a full-time data science leadership role at Booz Allen with potential for hybrid work arrangements and a compensation range of $99,000 to $225,000 annually, contingent on location and experience.
