Data Scientist Geo Holdout & Incrementality (12 month FTC)
On-siteLondon, England, United Kingdom
Job Summary
Own the end-to-end technical implementation of Prime Video's expanded geo holdout programme across seven European markets, constructing and maintaining the NUTS3-to-platform lookup table to map regional boundary data to Meta, DV360, and other media formats. Build and operate weekly campaign-to-experiment calendar matching scripts to ensure geo exclusions are flagged and verified, while developing API scripting and bulk upload templates to apply exclusions within native platform capabilities. Produce and validate weekly verification reporting at NUTS3 and postcode levels, documenting impression leakage rates against defined accuracy thresholds, and maintain human oversight of the agentic QA solution to resolve anomalies within programme SLAs. Support the onboarding of Poland and Turkey as extension markets and contribute to quarterly performance reviews, ensuring all geo mapping logic and automation layers are documented for long-term infrastructure continuity.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in data science, data engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrable experience working with geospatial data, including NUTS boundary frameworks, postcode-level geographic datasets, and tools such as PostGIS, QGIS, or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or R for data processing, scripting, and automation
- SQL for data querying and transformation
- version control via Git
- Hands-on experience working with media platform APIs — ideally Meta Marketing API, Google DV360 API, or equivalent
- Solid understanding of incrementality measurement methodologies, including geo holdout design, matched market testing, and the statistical principles underpinning experiment validity
- Strong understanding of statistics including hypothesis testing, significance thresholds, confidence intervals, and the implications of leakage and contamination on experiment readability
- Experience building and operating automated QA or monitoring solutions, with the ability to configure alerting logic and interpret anomaly outputs
- Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Strong communication skills — able to translate complex technical outputs into clear, accessible reporting for non-technical stakeholders at Prime Video and within the wider OpenDoor team
- High degree of ownership and accountability; comfortable working to defined SLAs in a programme environment where experiment integrity directly affects client investment decisions
- Experience working within a cross-functional team using project management tools such as Jira or equivalent
- Experience working within a media agency or ad tech environment
- Familiarity with NUTS3 boundary data across multiple European markets, including Poland and Turkey
- Experience configuring or working alongside agentic AI solutions for automated monitoring or QA
- Proficiency in one or more European languages
- the right to work in this location
