Job Summary
Data Scientist to join Cobblestone Energy in Dubai to drive data-driven decision making for trading and commercial activities. Role involves analyzing large datasets, developing, deploying, and maintaining predictive models (including time-series and AI/LLM-enabled solutions like RAG pipelines), and building end-to-end data workflows using Python, SQL, and tools such as Airflow and pandas. You will collaborate with traders and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business problems into high-quality, data-driven solutions, and will own projects from ingestion to model deployment, with opportunities for equity participation.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in data science or a related field
- Strong academic background in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
- Expertise in Python programming for advanced data science problems
- Applied AI proficiency: integrating LLMs into data pipelines or analytical applications (e.g., LangChain/LlamaIndex)
- Automation-focused: designing and implementing end-to-end data workflows leveraging AI
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and data visualization tools
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
