Data Scientist / Data Engineer – Pragmatic Consultant, AVP in Bangalore. Deliver timely analytics, statistical modeling, and data products addressing business needs. Translate ambiguous questions into measurable hypotheses, reliable data assets, and actionable insights; build scalable, governed datasets and transformations for self-service analytics. Define data requirements, lineage, refresh schedules, and SLAs; design robust ELT pipelines with dbt and cloud warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery); perform data preparation, quality checks, and monitoring. Analyze patterns to inform decisions; develop modeling approaches and robust evaluation methodologies. Create intuitive dashboards and narratives using Qlik and other BI tools; enable self-service by publishing reusable datasets and metrics. Prioritize pragmatic, maintainable solutions with clear trade-offs; communicate implications and recommendations to stakeholders. Strong SQL, Python (Pandas), Snowflake/BigQuery expertise, dbt, and experience with BI visualization tools; foundation in statistics and experimental thinking; excellent stakeholder management and clear communication. Nice-to-have: experience with Airflow/Prefect, analytics engineering practices, and CI/CD for data.
