Job Summary
Be part of the Data Science Lab at Equifax, developing deployable analytics solutions by integrating diverse big data assets, building complex models and algorithms, engineering features, and communicating analytical results to management. Key focus areas include predictive analytics, AI/ML techniques, big data processing (Spark, Hadoop), cloud platforms (Google Cloud/AWS/Snowflake), NLP/LLMs, and storytelling of findings. Requires advanced degree (Master/PhD preferred) and 5-7 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in Python, SQL, TensorFlow, Spark, and data manipulation libraries. The role combines prototyping, deployment, and collaboration with internal clients across domains, with a hybrid work schedule (two days remote, three onsite per week) in Alpharetta, GA or Atlanta, GA, and does not offer immigration sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Physics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering or related quantitative field, PhD preferred
- 5-7 years experience applying predictive analytics and modeling to solve business problems
- Experience with Python, Tensorflow, SQL, and Spark with advanced experience in data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, Dask, Spark DataFrames)
- Theoretical and practical understanding of algorithm time and space complexity, and a proven ability to apply this knowledge to develop efficient and scalable data science solutions
- Strong communication skills of analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences alike
- Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Snowflake, Hadoop) a plus
- Experience with NLP (Natural Language Processing), LLMs (Large Language Models) and/or Generative AI
- Agile development including Scrum
