Job Summary
Leverage statistical methods, machine learning techniques, data mining, and predictive analytics to extract value from diverse data sources and address complex operational challenges. Work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Guide teammates and lead the development of algorithms and systems to turn disparate data points into objective answers that advise clients on informed decision-making. Provide a deep understanding of the data, its meaning, and its application. Requires 3+ years of experience with data exploration, cleaning, analysis, visualization, or mining, plus proficiency in statistical programming and predictive modeling. Secret clearance is required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
- 3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
- 3+ years of experience analyzing structured and unstructured data sources
- Experience developing predictive data models, quantitative analyses, and visualization of targeted data sources
- Knowledge of ETL tools, such as DBT and Airflow
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with natural language processing, text mining, or machine learning techniques
- Experience with distributed data and computing tools including Spark, Databricks, Hadoop, Hive, AWS EMR, or Kafka
- Experience with data visualization or geospatial tools, such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or ArcGIS
- Experience with DevOps tools and automation practices
- Experience working within a Combatant Command or other DoD organization
