Job Summary
Data Scientist at Homerun: conduct exploratory data analysis on large datasets, collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions, develop end-to-end ML models for recommendation, matching, pricing, and security algorithms, design data pipelines, run experiments and A/B tests, and communicate insights to stakeholders through visualizations and reports. Requires strong Python/SQL skills, AWS/MLOps experience, familiarity with Pandas/NumPy/Matplotlib, deep learning concepts, and a track record of production-ready predictive models; experience with Generative AI, RAG, and fine-tuning is a plus; effective collaboration in a fast-paced, international environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 4-7 years of experience in data analysis, machine learning, or a similar role
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib)
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts, machine learning algorithms and deep neural networks
- Proven experience in building from development to production advanced predictive models and working with large datasets in real-world business scenarios
- Proven experience with cloud computing platforms, particularly AWS
- Experience with MLOps: model versioning, Git, Docker
- Hands-on experience in Generative AI, prompt engineering, RAG, and fine-tuning is a plus
- Previous experience with recommendation, matching or pricing systems is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders through storytelling and presentations
- Enthusiasm for exploring and implementing emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and methodologies
