Data Science | Supply Chain Management internship: shipping lead time analysis

Job Summary
Analyze the relationship between shipping lead times and system uptime by evaluating the cost and operational impact of different shipping strategies. Extract, prepare, and analyze raw operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities, then build dashboards and visualizations to support your analysis and recommendations. Your assignment focuses on generating insights rather than creating standard reports, with the option to adapt it as a thesis project. You may explore opportunities to join field trips to customer or support locations across Europe for firsthand insight into supply chain and service operations.
Required Qualifications
- Are pursuing a bachelor's degree or master's degree in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or another relevant technical field
- Are comfortable using data analysis and visualization tools
- Are analytical, proactive, and able to work independently in a structured manner
- Have good written and verbal communication skills in English
- You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship
- You are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship
- You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship
- If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement)
