Job Summary
Recent graduate with a MSc in Data Science to join the data team on a contract basis. Responsible for managing the full data pipeline (source → BigQuery warehouse → LookML modelling → dashboards), maintaining LookML code, developing new data models, and translating business needs into data solutions. Will own and improve pricing algorithms, run live pricing experiments, build predictive models and ML algorithms, perform statistical analyses, and present data visually to drive informed decisions across functions. Strong emphasis on collaboration with non-technical stakeholders and effective communication; requires knowledge of SQL/Python/R, Looker/LookML, and fundamentals of statistics and ML.
Required Qualifications
- Recent Graduate with a BSc or MSc in Data Science, Mathematics, or Data Analytics
- Knowledge of SQL, Python and/or R
- Experience with Looker and LookML development would be strongly desirable
- Strong prioritisation and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical business users
- Understanding of basic statistical methods, particularly hypothesis testing
- Analytical mind and business acumen
- Strong mathematical knowledge
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of machine learning
- Knowledge of data management and visualization techniques
- A knack for statistical analysis and predictive modelling
