Job Summary
The role involves leading the Telematics algorithm to enhance its value for customers and the business by using data to influence pricing. It includes hands-on development supported by a small team, utilizing telematics datasets to manage risk spreads, and helping reduce prices for customers. Responsibilities include collaborating with internal and external stakeholders for data acquisition, ensuring all data-driven decisions are documented, and delivering fair and justifiable pricing. The position requires strong analysis and coding capabilities, particularly in Python, and an inquisitive nature to foster change.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading and developing telematics algorithms
- Ability to manage and motivate a team of analysts
- Desire to continue learning new modeling techniques and finding new data sources
Desired Qualifications
- Strong analysis and coding experience. Python preferred, but experience with other languages is acceptable
- Ability to work with and analyze numerical/statistical data
- Collaboration skills with colleagues from different teams
- General insurance background/knowledge preferred
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
