Job Summary
Data Science Intern role focused on collaborating with stakeholders to design and engineer scalable data solutions, building and deploying AI-driven applications and APIs (FastAPI, Docker, CI/CD with GitHub Actions), managing SQL/NoSQL data, developing models in ML/NLP/CV/generative AI (LangGraph, OpenAI Agents, OpenCV), using Azure for cloud architecture and security, and leading end-to-end data initiatives from ingestion to monitoring while driving actionable business insights and stakeholder adoption. The internship spans 4-6 months (July–Dec) with emphasis on hands-on data science delivery and collaboration within Zurich's APAC Data & Analytics team.
Required Qualifications
- Ongoing or completed bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, data science, or a related field
- Experience implementing data science projects that deliver measurable value
- Proficiency in statistical and predictive modeling techniques (supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, LLMs, etc.)
- Practical experience managing and processing both structured (SQL) and unstructured (NoSQL, free text, images, web data) datasets
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience using frameworks such as FastAPI and tools like Docker for deployment
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services, GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and modern AI libraries and orchestration tools (e.g., LangGraph, OpenAI Agents) is a plus
- Demonstrated history of delivering data science solutions or proof-of-concept projects
