Job Summary
Senior Data Science Platform Engineer with AWS expertise to provide system analysis for product platforms serving Market Regulation, Member Supervision and Enforcement. Acts as a subject-matter expert for one or more systems, leads enhancements and updates in collaboration with stakeholders, champions cross-functional issue resolution, and facilitates information flow to ensure shared understanding of needs and deliverables. Facilitates solution selection/decision-making, supports end-user feedback activities (e.g., UAT and demonstrations), and aims to improve testing processes and overall efficiency. Strong emphasis on Linux/Unix, AWS (EKS, Lambda, EBS, EC2, S3, Fargate, IAM), Kubernetes, Docker, SQL, Spark, Python, Java, and open-source/cloud technologies, with a track record of independent work and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's in Computer Science or Equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience as a Data Science Platform Engineer or similar
- Strong experience with AWS services (EKS, Lambda, EBS, EC2, S3, Fargate, IAM)
- Strong background in Linux/Unix environments
- Strong background with SQL and Spark
- Solid experience with Python and Java
- Experience with Ansible, Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with automated build/deploy tools (Jenkins)
- Familiar with Data science lifecycle stages
- Familiar with API and Front-end development for web applications (J2EE, AngularJS, etc.) and Web servers (Apache httpd, Tomcat, Nginx)
- Demonstrated ability to implement open-source technologies and cloud services
- Excellent communication with users and project stakeholders
- Be able to work independently and self-learner
- AWS and ML certifications are a plus
- Experience with ML projects (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and enterprise data science platforms (e.g., MLFlow, Dataiku)
