Job Summary
VP, Data Science role focused on building Data Insight and Analytics for Alpha Data Services. Drive end-to-end data science projects from problem scoping to deployment and maintenance, working with large datasets to extract, clean, explore, analyze, and present insights. Design and implement algorithms across high-volume data, deploy and validate models in production, and leverage NLP to improve chatbot data access. Collaborate with business/product teams and lead a regional data science team as capabilities mature. Requires strong storytelling with data, statistical proficiency, meticulous attention to detail, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to communicate insights to senior leaders and clients. Includes opportunity to contribute to product development, service delivery improvements, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of Data Science experience within an Asset Manager in an Analytics / Data Science role
- Relevant degree subject (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Operational Research)
- Hands-on experience with data analytics and classical machine learning tools
- Ability to tell stories with data, and deliver data-driven insights to a wide range of audiences
- Fluency in Python, R & SQL
- Strong coder with ability to deliver data-driven insights to senior leaders and clients
