Job Summary
The Data Reliability Engineer III focuses on the reliability, automation, and performance of data systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining data infrastructure, monitoring system performance, responding to incidents, and ensuring data quality. The role requires collaboration with various teams to optimize data processing and uphold security and compliance standards. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong programming skills, and familiarity with various GCP services and tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data science on GCP
- Proven experience as a Data SRE or similar role focused on infrastructure management
- Solid understanding of SRE practices and software development best practices (Git, CI/CD)
- Strong skills in Python (NumPy, Pandas, PySpark), Java (Spark, functional interfaces), or Scala
- Experience with Cloud Logging, ELK Stack, AppDynamics, New Relic, or Splunk
Desired Qualifications
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Data Engineer certification
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Knowledge of AI and ML tools
