Job Summary
Execute data quality and engineering initiatives to enforce standards across the organization, conducting assessments and implementing quality control processes. Apply industry standards to develop data models and perform analysis that detects defects before they corrupt databases or applications. Engineer monitoring systems to automatically flag issues, actively track data streams, and perform corrective actions for anomalies. Ensure data dictionary and metadata accuracy by identifying missing values, incorrect types, or inconsistencies. Maintain Top Secret clearance and work onsite at Offutt AFB, NE, with 40 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Top Secret clearance
- Ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI status
- BA/BS Degree or 4+ years of related experience
- US Citizenship
- Proficiency utilizing technical tools demonstrating a strong understanding of relational databases, metadata management, data engineering, and data modeling
- Ability to obtain an ITIL 5 Foundation certification within the first 9 months of employment
- Ability to obtain a CompTIA A+, CND, or Security+
- Ability to perform data quality analysis (ServiceNow, Microsoft Access, & Power BI)
- Knowledge of data modeling (Erwin Data Modeler)
- Use of standard data elements
- Experience developing data dictionaries and enforcing data standards, policies, and procedures
- Familiarity with metadata management and data governance principles
- Understanding of root-cause analysis and corrective action for data issues
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and nontechnical audiences
