Job Summary
Own and drive the end-to-end Data Quality and Data Governance program at RemoFirst: define, monitor, test, and resolve data quality issues; document technical and business data quality rules; implement dbt-based tests across Bronze/Silver/Gold layers; build DQ dashboards and conduct root-cause analyses; maintain enterprise data catalog and glossary with metadata, ownership, lineage, and definitions; collaborate with domain teams to capture knowledge and translate context into governed metadata and semantic definitions; enable trusted data foundations for analytics and AI use cases; facilitate workshops to define business rules and data contracts; act as the trusted bridge between Data and Business teams for data meaning and reliability; contribute to governance and compliance practices for sensitive data; thrive in a startup environment with ownership and opportunities for growth.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years in Data Quality, Governance
- Hands-on experience running Data Quality and Data Governance initiatives in production
- Strong DBT and SQL skills
- Experience with data cataloging tools like OpenMetadata, DataHub, Collibra, or similar
- Experience building DQ dashboards and communicating with business stakeholders
- Strong ownership and ability to work independently
