Job Summary
The Data Protection Officer will manage the daily operations of technical and operational controls enforcing enterprise privacy and data protection requirements at InvoiceCloud. Responsibilities include implementing privacy and security controls across systems, conducting data mapping and classification, and leading internal technical engagements to maximize trust in privacy enforcement. The position requires extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements like GDPR and CCPA, along with practical experience in using various governance tools. This individual contributor role is critical for establishing scalable privacy frameworks and improving data risk visibility as the company grows.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise privacy and security control programs
- High integrity and sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential information
Desired Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in privacy engineering, data protection, governance, GRC, or security engineering
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and U.S. state privacy laws
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Drata, Microsoft Purview, DLP platforms, and data governance solutions
- Proven ability to design measurable privacy and security controls
