Design, implement, and manage backup and recovery solutions for Cloud and On-Premises environments while engaging with vendors for periodic health checks. Modernize cloud backup platforms to cover modern workloads and standardize solutions across regions to reduce reliance on business users for tape management. Manage the full life cycle of the NetBackup platform, including hardware and software, and prepare upgrade plans for master and media servers. Ensure overall availability, performance, security, and business continuity by enforcing backup retention policies with application stakeholders and conducting periodic reviews of backed-up data. Produce backup reports, assess system success or failure, and implement corrective actions as needed. Perform periodic tests to verify backup data integrity and reliability, ensuring processes meet defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO). Monitor storage consumption and backup growth to ensure adequate capacity, while securing platforms through latest patches, end-to-end encryption, and immutable storage to safeguard against ransomware.
