Job Summary
Data Protection Data Lake Product Manager (VP) leading end-to-end product lifecycle for the Data Protection product line within IP Foundational Services. Owns data lake requirements, guardrails for backup/restore, retention, and reporting; partners with security, risk/compliance, and records management; drives product strategy, backlog, and measurable success metrics, and coordinates with engineering, SRE, and platform teams to ensure cost-effective, scalable, and compliant data protection solutions. Focus areas include governance, data contracts, DR readiness, dashboards, and monthly scorecards to demonstrate value and compliance. Requires deep experience in product management, data lake architecture, IT infrastructure understanding, and a track record of delivering high-impact data protection products using Python, Oracle, Cassandra, and cloud platforms.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
- Proven ability to lead product life cycle activities including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management
- 2+ Years experience in Data lake architecture and catalogs
- Understanding of IT Infrastructure i.e. Network, Storage, Compute and Data Protection
- Product skills include Road mapping, measurable OKRs; stakeholder discovery; prioritization and backlog management
- Agile delivery with engineering/SRE; translating “intent to consume” into enforceable policies and guardrails
- Knowledge of software development best practices in an environment with Python, Oracle and Cassandra
