Data Protection Compliance Analyst

Job Summary
Own the day-to-day record keeping for the data protection framework by creating, maintaining, and quality-checking records to ensure accuracy. Support a Group-wide review of Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and help run data mapping exercises to track where personal data lives and moves. Assist with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to identify and document higher-risk processing activities, while supporting supplier and system due diligence by gathering information and tracking reviews. Highlight potential data protection risks and follow up on actions taken to resolve them. Work closely with colleagues across the business to explain requirements clearly and ensure proper completion. Join the Group Data Protection team in London, reporting to the Chief Privacy Officer, with a hybrid schedule of three days in the office.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Based in, or able to work from, London on a hybrid basis (currently three days a week in the office)
- Highly organised and detail-orientated
- Proactive
- Confident with spreadsheets
- Comfortable working with structured information
- Communicate clearly and confidently, in writing and out loud, with people at every level
- Can explain something precisely enough that someone who cannot see it still understands it

- Any exposure to compliance, regulatory, legal, risk or data protection work, whether through your studies or a previous role
- Experience in an office-based customer service environment
- Experience in a regulated sector such as banking, financial services, gaming or with a regulator
- Experience preparing or delivering presentations
- A genuine interest in technology, social media and artificial intelligence, and how they intersect with privacy
- A relevant degree or certification in law, compliance, information governance or data protection
