Job Summary
Design, develop, and maintain variable data applications using Quadient Inspire Designer to create complex customer communications and direct mail campaigns. Process and transform large datasets for print and mail production, developing automation solutions with Python, JavaScript, and KNIME while optimizing database performance. Support USPS mailing workflows including address standardization, NCOA processing, and Mail.dat generation to ensure regulatory compliance. Troubleshoot document composition, formatting, and production issues, performing testing, validation, and root-cause analysis for high-volume environments. Manage sensitive data handling and audit trails while balancing technical requirements with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or in lieu of degree, 6 years directly related work experience
- 5+ years of experience in data processing, variable data programming, document composition, or direct mail operations
- Experience supporting high-volume print and mail production environments
- Knowledge of USPS regulations, mailing processes, and postal optimization
- Experience working with sensitive or regulated data
- Experience with Quadient Inspire Designer or equivalent document composition tool
- Experience with Python, JavaScript, XML, JSON, and related scripting technologies
- Experience with ETL tools (Redpoint or KNIME preferred)
- Strong understanding of database structures, file processing, and data integration concepts
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting production systems
- Strong testing, debugging, and quality assurance skills
- Experience with version control systems and documentation practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a production-driven environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to balance technical requirements with business and operational objectives
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Scaler and ICM
- Redpoint or KNIME preferred
