Job Summary
Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot alarm systems and related electrical components across township facilities. Inspect UPS units, diagnose issues in low-voltage wiring and control panels. Read wiring diagrams and schematics. Maintain documentation of inspections and repairs. Coordinate with building supervisors, public safety officials, and vendors. Respond to alarm-related calls and urgent maintenance. Requires high school diploma and experience in alarm installation; NJ driver’s license; ability to work independently.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in alarm installation, low-voltage wiring, or electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge of fire and security alarm systems, control panels, detectors, circuits, and power supplies. Fire alarm or security system installation Certification preferred
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and building plans.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and municipal safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently across multiple township locations.
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
