Job Summary
Develop and monitor procedures to ensure the organization's health information remains secure while managing activities related to GDPR, HIPAA, and other state and federal laws. Assist management in strategic planning for privacy policies, perform Data Privacy Impact Assessments, and maintain registers of processing activities. Review service contracts for personal data processing appropriateness, partner with the security team to enhance workforce training, and assess ethics and compliance risks to implement localized controls. Ensure compliance-related issues are evaluated, investigated, and resolved promptly. This six-month internship within the RAQA team supports Sonio's mission to improve prenatal screening through AI-driven innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of GDPR and HIPAA regulations
- Knowledge and experience in information privacy laws
- Legal background
- Project Management skills
- Fluent in English (written/oral)
