Job Summary
Own the roadmap and delivery of scalable data platform capabilities across ingestion, transformation, storage, serving, and access layers. Guide teams in designing robust, reusable, and secure platform solutions for analytics, ML, AI, and product use cases while defining architecture standards and enforcing engineering best practices. Establish accountability for platform reliability, availability, and operational excellence by managing SLAs, implementing data quality and observability frameworks, and leading incident management. Lead and develop high-performing engineering teams, translating business priorities into executable technical roadmaps and communicating progress to senior stakeholders. Drive adoption of modern data architecture practices including data products, self-service analytics, and automation to support G2's growth and AI readiness objectives.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms, or cloud data architecture
- 3+ years in engineering leadership roles
- Strong expertise in SQL
- Strong expertise in Python
- Strong expertise in data modeling
- Strong expertise in ELT/ETL development
- Strong expertise in modern data architecture patterns
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services (EKS, S3, Lambda, Glue, Redshift)
- Experience with orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow, dbt, or similar technologies
- Deep understanding of data warehouse, lakehouse, and enterprise data platform architectures
- Experience implementing data quality solutions
- Experience implementing lineage solutions
- Experience implementing metadata management solutions
- Experience implementing observability solutions
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong execution skills
- Ability to balance platform reliability, governance, delivery, and long-term technical vision

- Experience with Docker
