Job Summary
Concept and operate scalable data pipelines and platform services while developing and maintaining the Snowflake-based data platform. Administer data integration, BI, and processing tools to ensure reliability, performance, and efficient resource usage through monitoring and alerting. Establish DataOps and CI/CD practices to enable self-service data usage via reusable platform capabilities. Own core platform components, engineering standards, and enablement of internal data teams within C&A's omnichannel fashion retailer ecosystem.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in data engineering or data platform engineering
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas: Cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake), Data integration / ETL tools, BI / analytics platforms
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills
- Experience with workflow orchestration
- Experience with CI/CD, Git and DevOps practices
- Understanding of data architecture, platform operations and observability
- Interest in modern data platform evolution
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- Experience with streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka)
- Experience with multi-tool platform environments (data + BI + integration)
- Exposure to data governance, lineage and data quality concepts
