Job Summary
Analyze and clarify business requirements from scattered documentation, then translate them into conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Design and implement silver and gold layer models within a medallion architecture on Azure Synapse, developing transformations using Azure Data Factory, Python, and PySpark. Integrate data primarily from SAP source systems and maintain governance, lineage, and cataloging via Microsoft Purview. Enable reporting through well-structured datasets for Power BI while managing repositories and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. This role supports the design-led, data-centric digital engineering services of Tieto Tech Consulting's Bulgaria team, which delivers tailored solutions to enterprise clients globally.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Azure cloud data platforms
- Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory
- Hands-on experience with Python/ PySpark
- Hands-on experience with SQL
- Hands-on experience with Data Lake/ Lakehouse architectures
- Solid understanding of data modeling: 3NF / normalized models
- Solid understanding of Star schema/ dimensional modeling
- Solid understanding of Data warehouse design
- Experience working with SAP source systems
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical data models
- Experience with Git-based development and CI/CD
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Good understanding of reporting needs
- Experience with Power BI
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work with both business and technical stakeholders
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Purview
- Experience in enterprise reporting, forecasting, or analytics platforms
- Background in SAP-heavy enterprise environments
- Experience with agile delivery and tools such as Jira/ Azure DevOps
- Microsoft data engineering certification
