Job Summary
The Engineer II, Data Modeler is responsible for shaping and managing data models and architecture to efficiently store, analyze, and leverage large-scale healthcare data. Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining an analytical data model for Electronic Health Records (EHR) and other healthcare data sources, collaborating with data engineers to translate data requirements into logical models, and ensuring scalability and documentation of the data model. Candidates should possess experience in data modelling with at least 4 years in the field, and must understand US healthcare data standards, particularly with EHR systems. Proficiency in SQL, data modelling tools, and knowledge of data ingestion and ETL processing in cloud environments are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics or related field
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in data modelling
- Prior experience with U.S. ambulatory healthcare data, including EHR and practice management systems
- Proven ability to design and implement a canonical common data model that can consolidate data from diverse sources
- Proficiency with data modelling tools
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with data ingestion and ETL processing in cloud environments
- Understand healthcare standards including HL7, FHIR, CCDA
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to Python is a plus
- Familiarity with data analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, and Sigma a plus
