Job Summary
Data Modeler in Circana's Global Professional Services, based in the UK with responsibilities spanning design, build, and maintenance of data pipelines and analytics models on Azure for Retail and Hospitality domains; translate client requirements into multi-dimensional models, collaborate with front-end business teams and data/engineering teams, support sales processes with client technical teams, document models, and contribute to lifecycle methodologies while growing into a leadership role within a growing global team.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, Science or Business Degree with a heavy focus on systems technology
- Demonstrated understanding of data manipulation and broad quantitative techniques
- Strong working knowledge of SQL and DDL
- Advanced expertise in an object-oriented language, such as Java, C++, or C#
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in big data analytics and coding in Python or similar scripting language
- Problem solving mindset
- Good verbal and written communication (including documentation) skills
- Knowledge and experience on Big Data infrastructures (MPP databases and Distributed Data platforms) and any Cloud platform is a plus
- Understanding of OLAP principles
- Knowledge and experience in retail and hospitality is a plus
