Job Summary
Data Modeller at Barclays, based in Pune, responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models across platforms; collaborating with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data modeling specifications; creating data dictionaries and ER diagrams; ensuring models meet standards and governance; monitoring performance and optimising data solutions; contributing to data architecture standards and working with data engineers to deliver high-quality data products.
Required Qualifications
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and desired functionality for the data product
- Translate requirements into clear data modelling specifications
- Design and implement high-quality data models that optimize data access, storage, and analysis and ensure alignment to BCDM
- Create comprehensive data model documentation including entity relationship diagrams, data dictionaries, and usage guidelines
- Collaborate with data engineers to test and validate data models
- Obtain sign-off from the DPL, DPA and Technical Product Lead on logical and physical data models
- Continuously monitor and optimize performance of data models and data solutions
