Data Migration Specialist

Job Summary
Own end-to-end data migrations: Extract data from third-party systems (CSV, APIs, database exports), clean and normalize it, and upload into Podium. Automate and scale transformations using Python (pandas) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets; leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate data cleaning and validation. Improve processes by identifying patterns and proposing improvements to make migrations faster and more accurate. Collaborate cross-functionally with Onboarding and Customer Success Managers to define requirements and ensure data accuracy; handle escalations and troubleshoot post-launch data issues with urgency. You’ll work with Onboarding and CSM teams to extract, clean, transform, and import data from legacy systems into Podium, ensuring new customers start with clean, accurate data from day one. The role requires strong Python skills, SQL is a plus, experience with REST APIs, and a detail-oriented approach in a fast-changing SaaS onboarding environment. Office located in Guatemala City; onsite role with Monday–Friday schedule, focusing on data migration quality and customer outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience in a data or technical role
- Strong Python skills (pandas preferred) for data cleaning and transformation
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas)
- Experience using AI tools to improve workflows
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work in ambiguous and fast-changing environments
