Job Summary
Meet with business stakeholders to document current workflows, dependencies, and expectations, acting as a liaison to translate requirements. Review existing Snowflake data feeds from sources like QuickBooks and NetSuite, perform gap analyses, and define new ingestion needs. Analyze source stored procedures and views to replicate equivalent logic in Snowflake, validating record counts and data accuracy. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure a smooth transition from the legacy SQL Server environment with minimal disruption. Document findings and assumptions to support long-term maintainability and facilitate knowledge transfer for post-migration self-sufficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with Snowflake for data storage, querying, and validation
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server (on-prem, preferably SQL Server 2016)
- Advanced SQL skills, including stored procedures and views
- Experience rebuilding and migrating data pipelines (not just lift-and-shift)
- Hands-on experience with Matillion (mandatory)
- Experience building and maintaining ETL pipelines into Snowflake
- Ability to identify missing data feeds and build new integrations
- Experience working with multiple inbound data sources
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with finance or accounting data
- Familiarity with NetSuite and/or QuickBooks is a strong plus
- Understanding of data accuracy, reconciliation, and reporting needs
