Job Summary
Data Manager owns day-to-day regional data operations for the assigned region (Inland Empire or Core). They supervise the regional Data Coordinator team, ensure attendance, enrollment, participant records, and partner system workflows are completed accurately and on time, and serve as the operational point of contact for regional data partners. The role owns regional data quality, leads coaching and training for site/program teams, and collaborates with a peer Manager to maintain one shared data model across Core and IE. Responsibilities include regional data operations, attendance/enrollment/workflow management, data quality follow-up, exception-report review, and escalation; team leadership and onboarding; training site staff on data processes; cross-regional consistency; FERPA compliance and funder reporting support; and travel to program sites as needed. Preferred qualifications include Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, nonprofit/expanded learning background, and bilingual English/Spanish. The schedule is hybrid with in-office days and remote work days; travel across LA-Greater LA/SGV and Inland Empire is anticipated.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in data operations or a comparable role, including supervisory experience
- Working knowledge of expanded learning data systems (EZReports, Afterschool HQ, or comparable) and district SIS platforms (Aeries, Synergy, Infinite Campus, or comparable)
- Familiarity with funder reporting requirements for ASES, 21st CCLC/ASSETs, ELOP, foundation funders, or comparable government/grant-funded programs
- Working knowledge of FERPA and student data privacy requirements
- Demonstrated experience coaching and training non-data staff on data systems and workflows
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation for regional site travel
