Job Summary
Analyze data needs and maintain reliable market data by streamlining collection and analysis procedures. Develop and maintain reference data, metadata, and terminology while defining data management protocols and implementing business glossaries. Collaborate with engineering teams on data product development and oversee the data lifecycle to ensure accurate, timely delivery. Mentor junior staff, resolve market data issues, and act as the Data Steward for Market Prices. Own and manage documentation, standards, and quality guidelines to support data services.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced education in statistics, mathematics, or computer science
- Well-honed listening skills, allowing you to draw an understanding of internal client needs
- At least 9 to 11 years of experience working in Market Data or commodities focused role
- Good understanding of Energy markets, commodities
- Must be flexible to work across multiple time zones
- Methodical and organized, creating and maintaining precise and clear documentation and code
- Self-organized, creating and maintaining precise and clear documentation, maintaining and developing further the Reference data and business glossary to keep them consistent
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of problem-solving skills
- Solid knowledge of data management principles
- Attention to details, ability to work with minimal supervision and ready to take ownership
- Strong customer awareness, ability to manage relationships, and deal confidently with senior management and external vendors
- Effective research, analysis, and communication skills
- Knowledge of ITIL process is must
- Strong knowledge of SQL
Desired Qualifications
- Experience of data quality control techniques is an advantage
- Experience on ZEMA software is a plus
