Job Summary
Data Management Specialist to support federal grant administration programs; ensure data integrity across multiple systems, maintain workflow tracking solutions, and support federal personnel with accurate, reliable data management. Responsible for applying data governance principles, establishing data standards, performing data quality audits, and coordinating with Data Analysts and Data Engineers. Requires ensuring compliance with federal records requirements, creating reporting tools, and providing training to end users. Onsite at multiple regional office locations (Philadelphia, Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City, or Washington, DC) with telework available upon approval. Travel within and outside the region as required. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of related experience, and be able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance. Strong skills in data quality, data cleaning, SQL, Excel, Smartsheet, and collaboration with cross-functional teams are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in information management, library science, or a related field from an accredited university or college
- U.S. citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant post-baccalaureate professional experience directly related to data management tasks
- Experience with data quality assurance and validation methodologies
- Knowledge of data governance principles and practical applications
- Experience with document management systems
- Metadata management experience
- Basic SQL knowledge for database queries and data extraction
- Ability to pass required background investigations for access to federal facilities and systems
- Willingness to complete mandatory federal training requirements
- Willingness to travel
