Job Summary
Data Management Associate in the Markets Chief Data Office (CDO) delivering data quality transformation for the Markets/business, driving root cause analysis, data lineage mapping, governance and data quality controls across critical data flows; collaborates with Front Office, Operations and Technology to support BCBS 239/regulatory requirements and improve data quality across CIB. Requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement, experience with data quality, data lineage, metadata management, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to autonomous-manage multiple business demands; role entails documenting data flows, defining data quality controls, and providing data quality advisory services on high-profile data initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in JPM or comparable financial institutions within operations, finance, program management, data analytics, data management, business analysis background
- Experience in working on projects or BAU focused on data quality, data lineage, data control documentation and metadata management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to think laterally and understand the big picture
- Proficiency in manipulating and analyzing large data sets in Excel (pivots, formulas, charts, etc.)
- Excellent communication, presentation (oral and written) & influencing skills with stakeholders of varying seniority
- Self-starter, autonomous work style with strong time management and multi-tasking
- Understanding of data governance, data quality, data lineage and metadata management concepts
- Experience in querying databases/data stores for data analysis
- Proficiency in producing PowerPoint presentations for senior audiences
- Experience in a CDO or Data Quality organization within an investment bank or large financial services firm
