Job Summary
Build the canonical data model for providers, children, and families across BigQuery, HubSpot, and product databases. Structure data for AI agents using entity tables and pre-computed briefings, then own state-mandated workloads including bi-directional Data Hub sync, legacy migration, and identity resolution. Define self-serve metrics, establish data quality monitoring with alerting and lineage, and use AI agents to automate workflows and help other teams. Report directly to the CEO to ensure every dashboard and coaching interaction gets smarter.
Required Qualifications
- First or early data hire at a startup
- Shipped data work in a regulated environment, govtech, healthtech, or fintech
- Experience with governance, masking, and audit trails
- Comfort writing a dbt model
- Experience working through a data governance agreement with a state counterpart
- Real scar tissue from entity resolution and dedup work
- Daily use of AI agents
- Understanding of what makes data legible to an LLM
- Ability to figure things out independently
- Preference for working as a team of one or two
- Preference to automate a task rather than hire around it
- Desire to build the system rather than inherit one

- Availability for in-person work 5-6 days a week in the office in Rincon Hill
