Job Summary
Lead and mentor a team of data engineers in developing and maintaining scalable, automated data pipelines. Architect and implement a Medallion Architecture-based Data Lakehouse with Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, while designing an Enterprise Data Warehouse on AWS using Apache Iceberg or Delta Lake. Build and optimize Dimensional Data Models using Star and Snowflake schemas, and develop ETL/ELT workflows with tools like AWS Glue, Spark, and Airflow. Process healthcare data in EDI X12 formats mapped to FHIR and HL7 standards, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and CMS regulations through data governance and encryption. Transition legacy systems to modern architectures by standardizing information flows and data exchange. Collaborate with stakeholders to align data architecture with organizational goals.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in data modeling in the information management arena
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards and interoperability, such as EDI X12, FHIR, and HL7
- Expertise in AWS or equivalent platforms
- Experience with Medallion Architecture
- Experience with Dimensional Data Modeling (e.g., Star and Snowflake schemas)
- Experience leading a team responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Experience implementing Iceberg or Delta Lake-based OLAP solutions
- Experience ensuring regulatory compliance with HIPAA and CMS standards
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
- At least ten (10) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing IT systems
- At least seven (7) years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or cloud data architecture
- At least two (2) years in a technical leadership role
