Job Summary
Conduct XML/SGML development, code analysis, and editing of technical data for aircraft and equipment across multiple platforms. Validate and verify data and illustrations for Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) within Interactive Authoring and Display Systems to support military equipment repair and overhaul. Analyze programs from procedural, regulatory, and policy perspectives to determine effectiveness in achieving full publications life-cycle support. Coordinate schedules and participate in capability and coordination meetings with various departments. Requires Active DoD Secret Clearance, Bachelor's degree with eight years of experience, or High School/GED with thirteen years. Located at Redstone Arsenal, AL, on-site.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree with eight (8) years of relevant experience
- High School/GED with thirteen (13) years of experience
- Relevant certifications may be substituted for two (2) years of related experience with High School Diploma/GED
- Performance of Extensible Markup Language (XML)/Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML) development (coding/tagging), code analysis, and editing of technical data for various aircraft and equipment for use with multiple-platform/media output
- Technical Publications including Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETM's) viewed in Interactive Authoring and Display Systems (IADS) validation
- verification of data and illustrations for new and revised technical manuals
- Analyzes and evaluates current or projected programs from a procedural, regulatory and policy perspective to determine effectiveness in achieving full Publications life-cycle support
- Manage and operate applicable automated databases
- Ability to comprehend engineering technical data
- Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word
- On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site
- In rare occasions, travel may be required
