Job Summary
Intern will design and develop a user-facing application connected to a central database to upload, retrieve, review, and update data from real-life catalyst applications; ensure data integrity and usability; translate user requirements into technical solutions; work at the intersection of software development and process engineering; duration 4–6 months with flexible start date; deliverables include a functional app, data-handling framework, documentation, and a final demo; collaboration with domain experts in process engineering in Ketjen's industrial dataset environment.
Required Qualifications
- Skills Required: Abstract thinking; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with programming (e.g. VB.NET, C#, VBA preferred)
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL (queries, data structures)
- Ability to translate user requirements into technical solutions
- Strong problem-solving and structured thinking
- Attention to detail, especially when working with data
- Driven, organized, ability to communicate efficiently
- Proactive and independent working style
- Willingness to learn and explore new technologies
