Job Summary
Maintain and improve data warehousing systems on AWS DMS and Redshift while monitoring pipelines to identify and troubleshoot issues. Write and optimize SQL queries for analytics and validation, collaborating with engineers to understand data needs. Automate repetitive daily manual processes to reduce overhead and improve team efficiency. Participate in testing, documentation, and reliability improvements for data systems. Leverage AI tools like Claude to accelerate development workflows and troubleshoot complex technical issues. This internship supports a rapidly growing team focused on redefining the shopping experience through fintech and retail innovation.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of relational databases (MySQL, Postgres, relational concepts) and no sql databases.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (Python, Go, or similar).
- Interest in data infrastructure, distributed systems, or backend engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools is required; candidates must be comfortable leveraging AI to enhance productivity, research, and communication.

Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
