Job Summary
Design, deploy, and maintain Vertica analytics database clusters, SQL Server instances, and PostgreSQL instances across Windows and Linux environments. Administer VMware hypervisor platforms, manage ETL pipelines, and automate infrastructure using PowerShell and Python scripts. Lead incident response for outages, conduct post-mortems, and maintain infrastructure-as-code, runbooks, and monitoring dashboards. This 6-month contract role supports Lunar Energy's clean energy mission by ensuring reliability and scalability for our enterprise data platform.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in database or systems infrastructure engineering
- hands-on expertise in Nutanix
- SQL Server administration
- PostgreSQL administration
- PowerShell scripting for Windows automation
- Python scripting for infrastructure automation, data processing, and ETL pipeline development
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL pipelines across heterogeneous database and file-based sources
- error handling in ETL pipelines

- scheduling in ETL pipelines
- Strong working knowledge of Linux system administration
- RHEL/AlmaLinux/Rocky Linux 9.x or Ubuntu 22.04/24.04 LTS
