Job Summary
Create and maintain descriptive, technical, and structural metadata for digital content while processing incoming client-supplied material and outgoing work deliveries. Manage Hard Drive, FTP, Aspera, Signiant, and Smartjog delivery mechanisms to ensure efficient data flow. Troubleshoot operational issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure completed service orders are processed for invoicing. Maintain accurate work-in-progress status across production and delivery areas to guarantee on-time, high-quality content delivery. Engage in on-going training and complete additional duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware
- variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems
- great troubleshooting abilities
- attention to detail
- experience with Linux operating systems
- shell-based tools
- production tools including DaVinci Resolve, AutoDesk Flame and Avid
- working knowledge of render software such as Colorfront OSD and Transkoder
- good, in-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks
- LTO and related archiving software
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication ability
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Regularly exercises critical thought and creative problem solving
- Experience managing a team of 5, typically working asynchronously
- Be familiar with ticketing systems such as JIRA, or other Agile style task tracking software
- Familiar with commonly used production cameras (ARRI, RED, Sony, etc.)
- Is constantly engaged in learning and testing new technologies
