Job Summary
Support the client's data governance leadership and committee, including charters, meeting support, and decision tracking. Develop a data governance maturity model and associated improvement roadmap. Create and implement an organization-wide data quality framework, including defined quality dimensions, metrics, and reporting practices. Produce high-level compliance documentation supporting privacy, retention, access controls, and authorized use. Deliver targeted training on governance, stewardship, and data quality best practices. Ensure governance documentation is consistent, clear, and aligned with regulatory expectations. This contingent federal role requires a background investigation and US work authorization. Salary is $150,000-$160,000. Located in the Washington, DC Metro Area with hybrid or remote options.
Required Qualifications
- Experience applying government or enterprise data-management expectations, including auditability, traceability, and quality controls
- Familiarity with metadata standards, stewardship practices, and data quality frameworks
- Experience producing SOPs, runbooks, and governance artifacts for regulated stakeholders
- Experience supporting or facilitating governance committees, charters, and decision-tracking processes
- Familiarity with privacy and data-protection requirements applicable to government or regulated environments
- Must be able to pass a federal background investigation prior to starting work and maintain eligibility throughout the engagement
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
