Job Summary

Partner with business and technology stakeholders to support enterprise data governance initiatives, maintain business glossaries, and document critical data elements and lineage. Monitor data quality metrics, coordinate remediation efforts, and perform profiling to identify inconsistencies. Establish governance policies, standards, and procedures while creating reports and dashboards to communicate progress to leadership. Promote data literacy and governance best practices throughout the organization. This role requires a Master's degree and 4–6 years of experience in data governance or management, with strong SQL skills and familiarity with tools like Collibra or Microsoft Purview. Located in Pittsburgh, PA, with relocation assistance offered.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field
  • 4–6 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Business Intelligence, Data Quality, or related disciplines
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, and data stewardship principles
  • Experience documenting business definitions, data lineage, and data ownership
  • Knowledge of data quality concepts and experience analyzing data quality issues
  • Strong SQL skills for data validation and analysis
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise data governance tools such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview, Alation, or Informatica Axon
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Snowflake
  • Understanding of master data management (MDM) concepts
  • Exposure to data privacy and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, SOX, etc.)
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
  • Knowledge of Python or scripting for data analysis is a plus
  • Curious and eager to learn new technologies and governance practices
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys working across business and technical organizations
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Passion for improving data quality and enabling data-driven decision making
