Job Summary
Conduct daily data entry for patient demographics, responsible parties, insurance, facility, and referring provider information to support billing and general records. Contact nursing homes to verify new POA addresses when statements are returned by mail, update these addresses in the EMR, document the action, and remail statements. Add new facilities and referring providers to the EMR master files, including obtaining NPI numbers for providers. Deliver customer service to internal and external contacts while maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and PHI guidelines. Comply with all components of the compliance program, including training and reporting suspected violations. Prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong Data entry and computer skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to prioritize workload
- Exhibit excellent customer service
- Previous medical office background helpful
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Completion of a background investigation
- Successful completion of a drug screen
