Job Summary
Prepare paper documents for scanning by removing staples, arranging pages, and confirming document order. Name, label, index, and organize electronic files according to established conventions, then upload documents to designated folders and systems. Enter basic document information into spreadsheets, databases, or tracking systems while comparing files with source documents to identify errors. Maintain organized paper and electronic work files and track completed work to report missing, damaged, or unreadable documents. Protect sensitive information and follow established document-handling procedures to meet accuracy and daily production requirements. U.S. citizenship and ability to satisfy federal background investigation requirements are mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- At least one year of experience in data entry, document scanning, file organization, clerical support, or a similar administrative role
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic filing systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to perform repetitive, production-oriented tasks accurately
- Ability to handle paper files and operate scanning or standard office equipment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- U.S. citizenship and ability to satisfy applicable federal background investigation, suitability, or security requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with sensitive or personally identifiable information
- Previous experience supporting a federal government office or contractor
- Familiarity with electronic document repository like SharePoint, Dropbox etc
