Data Engineering Specialist

Job Summary
Construct and maintain scalable data pipelines, building ETL/ELT processes for ingesting and transforming large datasets using Python, SQL, and cloud platforms. Develop database schemas, views, and data models while optimizing storage solutions across SQL, NoSQL, and data lakes. Integrate internal and external data sources by building APIs and monitoring interoperability, alongside automating validation rules and quality checks to ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to support pricing and exposure management, translating technical concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Hands on experience with Python and SQL
- Exposure with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Experience with ETL tools: Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SSIS
- Strong understanding of data modelling, metadata, and data architecture
- Ability to build high‐performance algorithms and prototypes
- Knowledge of data governance, data security, and privacy standards
- Excellent problem‐solving and analytical thinking
- Clear communication and documentation abilities
